boy did I feel OLD last night....

and I am only 26

DH and I went to Best Buy to do some Christmas shopping. We went to the CD section and I was looking for a Dean Martin CD for my dad.

I asked the young sales guy (I'd say he was under 18 if I had to guess) where this was. He said 'Who is Dean Martin?' I said 'He's an older singer, like Frank Sinatra'. He said 'Well, who is Frank Sinatra? An old rock singer?'

I couldn't help it - I said ARE YOU KIDDING ME? LOL and then he got mad and had to have someone help him look for it.

I couldn't believe that - although I guess if he is young enough and has had no exposure to that type of music, it's understandable.

But gave me a good laugh!

OMG!!!!!!!! Everyone knows who frank Sinara is though!! Was he locked in a closet since birth? Was his parents?? thats the funniest thing I have heard in a long time-- thanks!!

he should not be working in the music section if he has no idea who Fran Sinatra is....I will NEVER understand these stores that hire these 16 y/o's to work in a dept where they know NOTHING about !!!

I told DH about this and he thinks it's feasable that someone doesn't know who Frank Sinatra is

This is wrong on so many levels. How can someone not have heard of Sinatra?? It's not like he died 20 years ago or that his music is never heard in any movie or tv show.
