NWR...Just want opinions. Very long...sorry

My FI's brother rented a house in Vermont for a few weekends this season. We were supposed to go up this friday and come home sunday, so I can still have monday to do alot of running around. He now wants to stay until monday and would rather not. To be honest, I don't want to go at all. There's about 10 people going and not all couples, so it wasn't going to be a romantic Valentine,s weekend or anything like that, and I can think of a million things I could be doing. Registering, looking for veil and tiara, shoes, cleaning the house, a million things. He knows I don't want to go and doesn't mind but I feel really guilty not wanting to spend Valentine's day with him.
He loves to snowboard and is really good...me on the other hand am just o.k. so I know he'll have fun not having to stay behind with me going slower than his friends
Do you think i should just go, or should I not feel guilty about staying home.

If it were me, I wouldn't feel guilty not going. Sounds like you are not going to have a good time.
If you feel you really want to stay home, then stay. How will you feel tomorrow not being with him?

Don't get me wrong, I would love to be with him on Valentine's day but with 3 months left all I think about is the wedding so the whole time I will be thinking...I should be doing this or that. Also I would rather use the money on wedding stuff.

If it were me...I would stay home. You can celebrate Valentine's day before he leave...or comes home? If you are not going to have a good time...and you both agree it's ok for you to stay home and do wedding stuff...I don't see a problem.

You may be pleasantly suprised and have a great weekend. I alsways end up having the best time when I wasn't into going in the first place.

I decided i'm not going to go. We're going to try to make reservations for Giorgio's tonight instead. I was feeling a little guilty but not anymore. Thank's for the input. He'll probably have more fun without me anyway...getting to go at his speed, not having to stop and wait for me to catch up. He loves snowboarding...he actually wants to go to Colorado for a honeymoon...which is not happening

i would just tell him that you have so many things you need to do and that he can go and have fun without you and you will see when he is home.

Thanks. I think so too. Plus the fact that he said the temp is like -1 during the day and -20 at night there. It's cold enough here. BTW we did go to Giorgio's tonight and the food was great, which was a big relief since we have never been there. I actually got chills when we pulled up. I can't wait.
