Meeting with a florist for the first time....
What do I need to know? What do I need to ask? I'm bringing lots of pictures with me with lots of different options to see which will work best with my (small) flower budget. Anything I need to watch out for? What did you discuss at the first meeting? Do I need to know 'how many' flowers I want? Because I have no clue!

I brought pictures of my dress and pics of the girls dresses - the florist really appreciated that b/c it helped us decide what looked best.(Congrats on your dress by the way!!)
Just tell your florist your budget and see what they come up with - I'm sure it'll be beautiful!!
Just have an idea of how many tables you think you'll have (I estimated high just in case) and who you will be getting corsages/bout's for. I'm sure your florist will walk you through!
Good luck and have fun!!!!

you are going to have so much fun. make sure they include an extra bout. for the guys and include a throw away bo-k for you. everything else just comes with the meetings- budgets, type of flowers in season, colors, and style of centerpieces and bo-k! good luck and have fun

Re: Meeting with a florist for the first time....
I Really wouldn't estimate high on the tables, just because if they stick them in a contract you are going to be stuck with centerpieces that you dont need. They told me for about 150 people I would need about 13 tables so I told the florist that and that it may be more than that she said it wasnt a problem each addition CP would be $$$. So I know in the back of my mind that the Flower price could change by a couple of hundred $$ depending on a final count and how we do table settings.Little things that we got were decorating the cake, flowers for the dias, and card table.
