Poll: flower girl or junior bridesmaid

My cousin will be seven when i get married....is she a flower girl or a junior bridesmaid??? the pictures i see of flower girls are always much younger!!

I would go with Flower girl-I was 8 in my uncle's wedding.

My niece will be two weeks shy of eight years old and we are making her a jr bridesmail. I am also having my two other nieces as FGs - they will be two and five. I think you have to look at the girl and see how mature she is - I know my niece is much more mature than I was at that age and I just can't see her carrying a basket of flowers. She will wear the same dress as the FG but carry a small bouquet instead.

I say it depends on the girl..My FH half sister is 8 and she is tall...so i think that having her as a FG doesn't look right..

Definitely flowergirl. My sister's flower girl was 6, which is the official cutoff age according to Emily Post.

I'd say whatever you want her to be. Our FGs are 10 and 8, one is my step daughter, so it was important to make her a FG, and she is the 10 year old!

I dont believe there is a rule. Do what you feel most comfortable doing! My junior bridesmaid will be 8 when we get married. My flower girls will be 4...just thought I would share
