Well, today is the day at work with my review and THE expected COMMENT....
My review is at 2....And since I got info prior to this "meeting"...I know they are going to try to sugar coat, or maybe not even sugar coat "We don't know what she is going to do when she gets married" and "She still has NY Plates" (this is their way to justify NOT promoting me....even tho I am qualified)
First of All, I am not going to quit my job, and sit on my @ss and eat bon bons all day, and second, I have NY plates because my parents insure and register my car, because I cannot afford it with the petty pay I get a week....
Anyways I think they are looking for me to react, and since I have had a few days to think about this, I have absolutely no reaction for this....will take it like a grain of salt....won;t give them what they want, but will demand they are indeed harassing (from other emails, etc) and discriminiating against me...
I may sign on after this "review" from work, or wait till I get home...We'll SEE

Good luck with your review. I don't think you owe them any explanation for the license plates on your car. That's none of their business IMO.
I would simply state that I plan to contiune working here after the wedding. I don't know why it's an issue, I am sure you are not the first person at that company to get married.

Stupid question what does state on your plate matter?
I kept my Texas plates until I had to update my Driver's License. I had a friend in the Texas Tax Assessors Office so I'd just mail a check and she'd mail me back my sticker.
What difference do your plates make?
Just curious.

They think that since she has NY plates it must mean that she palns on moving back to NY after the wedding.
