My UPDATED WONDERFUL April 17th Wedding Review!!!!

My UPDATED WONDERFUL April 17th Wedding Review!!!!

Truly and honestly the most beautiful and amazing days of my life. Marrying the love of your life and your best friend... it's an indescribable feeling!

The day was just perfect. The first perfect Spring day of the year!

So- here we go. As for grading, everyone was beyond an A+ that day! I'll start from the beginning and give my honest review:

My gown: Ines DiSanto, Bridal Reflections in Carle Place. I was fortunate enough to find the gown of my DREAMS and lucky enough to buy it right there with Ines DiSanto standing next to me! LOL. Ines herself measured me and when the dress came in, it fit like a glove! I only needed the bottom hemmed and the bustle done. My seamstress, Lee (who was fantastic) said she had never in her life seen someone made for a dress like that one was for me. The 10 months it took for my dress to come in was TOTALLY worth it!

My hair: Gatsby's Salon in Hicksville. I've been going to this salon since elementary school!! Lorraine is one of the owners, she did my hair and she is PHENOMINAL. I knew exactly what I wanted too, I was easy for her. My hair was 1/2 up 1/2 down and it didn't budge an inch! I was so happy with my hair, I can't even tell you!

Bridesmaids hair & makeup: Reflection Salon in Floral Park. Words can't even describe how ABSOLUSTELY WONDERFUL this salon is. As many of you know, the hairdresser I hired to do the hair for my girls passed away in a horrible car accident 4 days before my wedding. MIL & SIL is friends with the owner of Reflection, Terry, and she called Terry up and told her the story. Terry CLOSED THE SALON for me! I still can't get over the fact that she called and cancelled all of her clients that morning and accomidated my 7 bridesmaids with hair and makeup. It was too good to be true. And let me tell you, the girls were STUNNING! They were so happy with the salon, I don't know how I can possibly thank them! The girls wore their hair 1/2 up 1/2 down as well, and it didn't budge at all and their makeup stayed perfect for the day & night.

My makeup: The Perfect Look- Christine. She saved the day!! Another vendor that I don't know how I could ever thank her. She is the sweetest thing!! My makeup was stunning. I totally and completely looked like myself. It stayed on perfectly until I took it off that night. I just had to reapply my lipstick! She also did my mom, who looked gorgeous!!
And why she saved the day-- when my flowers showed up at the house, and I was dissappointed with my boquet... she RAN OUT TO A LOCAL FLORIST AND FIXED MY BOUQUET! I couldn't believe it! She was amazing. She made me the bouquet of my dreams. I can't reccommend her enough. One of my bridesmaids is getting married and she booked her on the spot!

Florist: Park Place Florist in Woodhaven Queens. This is a family friend who was terrific to work with. But I will say, when the flowers showed up at the house, the girls bouquets, the bouts, the corsages... were GORGEOUS and exactly how I pictured them But I was a bit dissapointed with my bo-k. it was small and didn't look like the picture I gave Matt, the owner. Well, Christine (makeup girl) saved the day and fixed it up, so I was happy after that. Then when Matt found out that I was upset-- he was so upset-- that he decorated the church with so many flowers, it was breathtaking! He also threw in another 2 HUGE beautiful arrangements for the hall to make it up to me. He was too sweet! The table arrangements were amazing! I had them arranged in wicker baskets that were a perfect touch for the feel of the Milleridge. The guests were fighting over them!!! LOL they were so beautiful. I was SOOOO happy with all the flowers!

Limos- Coachman Limosines- I've known the owner of this company for years. They continue to be terrific to work with. I was SOOO happy with the limos. I had the Rolls Royce and the Caddy Excalade. The driver of the Rolls, John, is AMAZING!! He is so curteous and kind and He was 45min early!!! He helped set everything up at the church- just made everything smooth. THe driver of the Excalade was so nice and terrific too!

Picture Location- Old Westbury Gardens- I sucked it up and paid the $395 to have our pics taken there, but boy am I glad I did! Everything there was so beautiful and perfect, I was in heaven! The flowers were in bloom, it was incredible. We felt like we were on another planet. I can't WAIT to see the pictures from here.

Photos- Perceptions Photography- Anthony, Nick & Marla. I had 3 photographers. OK I really can't tell you how much I love these guys! I had SO MUCH fun with them! It was like hanging with my friends on that day! They were very professional, had a great time with us, delt perfectly with our difficult families and just recently I got my proofs back, all I can see is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They are so beautiful I have no idea how I'm going to possibly narrow them down to make an album!! My mom cried when she saw how beautiful their work was.

DJ- Krompier Entertainment- Stephan. He is a friend of the family and once again he outdid himself. He was phenominal- and all by himself. I only had 3 songs that I requested- and I told him to feel the crowd and go with it... and boy did he do an awesome job! He truly made my wedding a blast- and my guests keep raving about him.

video- Krompier Entertainment- one of the workers, I didn't catch his name. We only did the minimum video and we are only getting the raw footage of the entire wedding and reception. None of that fancy stuff. Looking forward to getting the DVD to see everything!

Favors- as a gift to us, my mom's friend made all 275 for us! They were these beautiful hand cut boxes with hand written labels that had green and white special ordered peanut M&M's everyone loved them!

Hall- The Milleridge Inn- Matre'D: Steve. (My attendant was Maria, but I really didn't need her) Gosh I LOVE that place! It is just so beautiful and elegant and the room was just as I pictured it in my dreams. Girls if this is your hall- everything is just FANTASTIC! The food was just incredible! (oh and for your appetizer- DEFINITELY the spinach florintine crepe! Everyone LOVED IT!) And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Steve! He was AMAZING. He made sure we ate, took care of and checked on our parents AND grandparents with comfort, drinks and stuff, which made me soooo happy. He had everything under control and everything just went so smoothly!
The Milleridge is just incredible and I really could go on and on about it!! I had not one problem at all with them. I honestly wish I had another wedding to plan there. If you have any questions, FM me! (I have some other stories too of what they did for me, so FM me if you want to hear!)

I'm glad you had a great time & loved the Milleridge.
I really want the spinach crepe but FH does not. We are trying to go with middle of the road things, but really it is just an appetizer, and people will eat the other courses.

Jase and I had a fabulous time at your wedding! You both looked amazing & we were so glad that we could make the trip to celebrate with you. Hope that your honeymoon was awesome & can't wait to see some proofs of the wedding. And updated house pics if you have them- see you this summer. Say hi to Mike for me!
