A Sunday.

We decided on a three year engagement and a July wedding, and it just so happened that our 5 year anniversary of being together fell on a Sunday in July for 2005.

Sunday, May 29, 2005. (Memorial Day Weekend) Cheaper on Sunday, Most people have off on Monday.

saturday, i didn't want people having to worry about having to go to work the next day, and they could enjoy themselves....

Friday. Its cheaper and people can take half a day off and dont have to work the next day.

saturday - have a number of out of town travelers, so friday wouldnt work.

Saturday Night !!!

Fridays would not work because we didn't want our guests to be stuck in traffic and thought everyone would be a bit tired after work to party.
Sundays was considered but thought that our guests would not really enjoy themselves because everyone has to work next day. Even though Sundays and Fridays are cheaper, we booked on a Saturday !!!

Sunday.... Sat too expensive, and I felt like friday would be too much of a rush for people...and traffic in LI in the summer sucks!

Sunday - pretty much the same reasons as above...we both didn't want Friday because people would have to take off from work and would be tired and while I wanted Saturday - it was too expensive. We're paying for the whole thing on our own so we have to watch every penny. As far as Sunday - people can leave whenever they want if they have to go to work the next day.

Well we picked Sunday, Friday was out because of all the OTT guests, and the traffic issues, and Sat was too darn expensive, so Sunday it is

Friday night, I initially wanted a saturday, but it was about 6500 more

, i didnt want a sunday because i knew i definitely wanted an evening wedding and didnt want people to have to work the next day. FH liked friday from the start, its more like a wedding 'weekend', most people dont have to work the next day and the OOT guests can stay the whole weekend and hang out!! we picked 11-11-05, not knowing it was veterans day, so that worked out even better! (my dad being a vet loves it too, he wants to wear his 'dress blues' to talk me down the isle.... we'll see

)
