wedding gown shopping
Hope everyone had a great weekend. I haven't been able to log on all weekend because my computer needs to be serviced so I was actually grateful to get in to work today
Anyway, I went dress shopping with my mom on Saturday and think I may have found the 'one'. I'm going to look around some more anyway but can't get this dress out of my head!!! I'm looking for a picture of it to post but can't seem to find one. It is a strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, beadwork on the bodice and some around the hemline. Its considered ivory though it doesn't look ivory to me when I put it on. More like an off-white.
I am so excited just wanted to share

Cool! What brand name was it? Maybe we can help you find a picture online.

I don't know. I went to Princess Bridals and they do not tell you the maufacturer until you put a down payment on it

Re: wedding gown shopping
I didn't notice any tags on the sample. My friend bought her gown from them a while ago and she told me that she did not find out the manuf. until she put her deposit down.

Re: wedding gown shopping
By law, they are not allowed to take the tags out. Im sorry, but I would be a little suspicious. Maybe you can try going on the knot and entering specific info about your dress and see what comes up. You might be able to find the maker and a pic.

Re: wedding gown shopping
Thanks for the info. I'm wondering what would have happened if I only asked. I just assumed they wouldn't tell me. I'm going to call them and ask and see what they say

Re: wedding gown shopping
Definately strange!!! Sounds like they dont want you to shop around for that exact dress for a better price or what if their dresses are 'fake' ones.

Re: wedding gown shopping
the dress is beautiful.
i would take the picture some other places and get prices from them. it sounds really strange to me that they wont tell you who the manufacturer is. i went to macys bridal and they had the names and pictures of girls wearing the dress attached to the hanger. it was easy to find the dresses i wanted to try on that way. good luck

That's crazy!! They don't want you to shop around for a better price! I would look somewhere else...as long as you have the picture now!

Re: wedding gown shopping
Alot of dress stores refuse to tell the designer unless you put money down. Thats common now a days. Some dress places sew there own label in.
