Anyone marrying your High School or Childhood Sweetheart?

I'm marrying my HS sweetheart. It was always sort of a little romantic fantasy of mine, but I didn't know it would come true.

He's had problems from his side, though because he actually never dated anyone before me, so I'm the only girlfriend he's ever had, etc and now we're getting married. We also had challeged because we didn't go to college in the same state. Now that he's home everything's great.

It has a lot of advantages, too. We were just kids when we started dating (16-17) and we've both grown and changed a lot and proven that we can grow and change together.

What have your experiences been?

PS: I can't wait to go to my reunion!

Sort of. We each dated others in high school, and we didn't get together until he graduated (he's a year ahead of me). So the HS crowd didn't really know we got together, and I am sure they would be shocked to know we are getting married! If you had known us then, we didn't appear to be compatible. Look how time changes things!

I am marrying my HS sweetheart. Weve been together from the 10th and 11th grade. I am 1 year younger. Its great we know each other so well!

DH and I have been together since we were 17 (senior year of hs). It has been wonderful growing up together, we have been through so much. I did not date many people, and I would not have changed a thing!

I knew my FH in highs chool but we didn't start dating until the end of my senior year. It was just supposed to be a summer thing, but when I left for college we stayed together. Since I only went to school in Rhode Island, I would drive home every weekend to be with him. after the first semester I decided to come home. We went to community college together and then we both graduated from Pace. We dated on and off for 6 years and then we moved in together a little over 3 years ago. Now, 9 years later we're getting married!

Same for me!!! 2nd semester freshman year, he went to Cornell and I went to Binghamton!!!

And then we moved intogether and we just bought a house!! Wooohooo

I have you all beat FH and I almost got married on the play ground in 1st grade! The jerk dumped me for another little girl! We didnt get back together until the year after we graduated High School. We actually ran into the other girl he dumped me for in a bar one time. We got a opicture of the two of us girls on each of his arms. It make s me laugh!

we knew each other in highschool and had some classes together, but we didn't officially become a couple till right after I graduated...
we will be getting married on our 8 year anniversary-3*12*05

Sort of. We first met in the 1st grade and then he moved away and we met again in high school. We were friends throughout high school and we actually started dating a week after our high school graduation.
