We adopted a puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATED WITH PICTURES! SCROLL DOWN...
FH and I went to the pound in Brooklyn tonight and we adopted a grey male shih tzu. He's a year old and amazingly well behaved. He does have "cherry eye" in one eye, which we'll get taken care of in the next few weeks but other than that he's perfect. We LOVE him!!! He's being neutered tomorrow and we pick him up tomorrow night between 5 and 8PM. I'll post lots of pics then!!

Congrats! I also have a male shihtzu although we are not sure if he is pure shihtzu. He is the BEST dog ever! He is 12 years old now Good luck with your dog and post some pictures of him!!!

YAYAY! Shih-tzu's are great. My grandfather has had 4 of them and they are very well trained & all had such great personalities.
My g-father's is funny though, b/c she hates to be bruhed so they keep it in a puppy cut... it is soooooo cute!

my uncle used to have one and it was the cutest thing ever!!!!
i would sit on the couch and he would just jump into my lap and look at me, like he was saying..."i'm cute, you can pet me now"
i loved that little thing....so much nicer than my cat....

Meet Larry David!! You can see the cherry eye in some of these. It actually looks worse in the pictures than in real life but we're calling the vet first thing in the morning to get him an appt. Isn't he GORGEOUS???

OMG he looks Exactly like my dog Very very cute!!! Shih tzus are very smart. My dog Gizmo knows how to do so many tricks! Good luck with him and have fun spoiling him!

 that's too funny! They do look so much alike. We were actually wondering if the shelter made a mistake in his breed since you don't see too many all grey/black shih tzu's.
