What are all the Pregnant Mommies eating?

Lunch choices seem impossible with all the restrictions, limit tuna, no deli meats, only hard cheeses. Anyone else have this dilemma? I am a tuna addict, I usually have it everyday, but now that isn't an option. Help?

I eat deli meat almost every day - I was never told not to eat it by my dr.

I've been eating salads, drinking lotsssss of milk & sometimes I add some chocolate syrup to make it more yummy.

Yogurt & fruit for breakfast

Dinner I go wild and eat what ever I'm in the mood for.. I'm a big fan of hamburgers - I cant get enough of them!! LOL
.... and Ive also been drinking lots of water.


You should stay away from tuna.. and I also was told anything that's made with raw egg is no good.. ie: Mayo, blue cheese, cesar salad dressing..etc..

My OB told me anything is fine in moderation (tuna, cold cuts, even a cup of coffee a day). Just be sure you get the deli meats from a good place with a high turnover. You should also just totally avoid raw sushi, etc...

thats what i was told also. everything in moderation. lately i have been wanting peanut butter and jelly and ice cream. not the best choices but i treat myself once a week!

Thanks for the suggestions. I have been eating some tuna. I think I will go with the everything in moderation motto.

I eat alot of pizza, soup and egg salad for lunches.

I have been having a total loss of appetie lately which I guess is normal (I'm about 7 1/2 weeks) so basically I have been forcing myself to eat anything...I usually have cereal for breakfast , coldcuts for lunch, and then either a small pice of chicken or meat for dinner...I also try to have some fruit and yogurt eah day...I hope my appetite increases soon because I feel like I am starving my baby.

My dr. told me NO tuna the whole 9 months but deli meets like Boars head turkey, pastrami, and roast beef are fine just not everyday. I ate a lot of pizza, pasta and grilled chicken salads for lunch.

My dr. said ONE hot dog a week as long as its cooked fully is fine too.

I won't be able to have brie when I become pregnant?

I haven't really changed my diet at all since becoming pregnant (excpet for no more margaritas and wine!). I was never a tuna or soft cheese eater, but I see no issues with eating without crazy restrictions all in moderation. I am hooked on Apple Jacks these days though.
