Having such a hard time finalizing Hawaii...so many details!!

How many days on each island??? Will we be bored? Will it not be enough time?? Do we stay somewhere before we go to Hawaii?? Do we need a car on each island???


Ive searched other reviews.. I dont know how to book this confidently???

We did 12 days in Hawaii and saw 4 islands. We jumped around alot so we wouldn't be bored but then again we sorta get bored easily. We did 2.5 days in Kauai and we probably could have done one more but really- all you can do is relax in Kauai so it was fine for us. We did I think 3 days in Honolulu and again it was perfect since there was alot to do. We did 2 days on the big island and that was enough and then 4 days in Maui.

We rented a car on every island. I know people say you don't need a car in Honolulu but I'm glad we had one so we didn't have to go on an arranged bus tour of Pearl Harbor and we got to go to the Dole Factory and this huge flea market. It would have been way to oexpensive to take cabs.

We flew on a Sunday evening to LA and stayed over night. Then took the first flight out to Honolulu. FM if you have any more questions. Also, you should get the book Hawaii for Dummies- it is SO helpful!

Thanks for the info. Actually, this is the largest secion of my planner right now ive tried to do so much research. Ive spoken with a few agents, and everytime I get a quote, I second guess mysef, 'should I make the trip shorter?' 'is this too much money?'
