Gift for a new mom?

My best friend just had a baby a few days ago and the poor thing is in a lot of pain. Does anyone have any ideas of something I can send her that might make her feel better?

I think a nice comfy robe, slippers, flowers, a nice perfume would be a nice gift!

Re: Gift for a new mom?

Can you send her dinners that she just needs to put in the oven? I'm guessing her energy is low right now, so having dinner already made would be welcome. She may not be eating well otherwise! Maybe a lasagna or something?

The other thing you could send her is yourself! Some help around the house would likely be appreciated!

This is what I did for my friend with each birth that she had. It was the best gift for her! She was so overwhelmed it was nice for her not to worry about making a meal for days!

Or a spa day for a little pampering might be good too!

Re: Gift for a new mom?

Dinners are a great gift to give. My mom did that for us and it was such a relief to not worry about dinner. Or offer to do some grocery shopping for her. That's helpful too.

If you're looking for something to cheer her up I loved reading The Girlfriends Guide To The First Year of Motherhood. It relaxed me to read it and it gave me lots of laughs too.

Re: Gift for a new mom?

I ordered dinners from www.alazing.com for one of my best friends. The food is fantastic and gives easy instructions... and they have money-saving samplers that you can order to give your friend a tast of 4 different dinners. Try them out...I've ordered from them a bunch of times with rave reviews. Good luck~
