Am I crazy?

Or does anyone else NOT want to spend every second planning the wedding.
I booked the place, and now I want a break. I just want to hang out with FI for a while and not have to talk about wedding stuff.
We only get to see each other on the weekends, and for the past few weeks, the entire time has been taken up with wedding talk/planning.

FI and I feel the same way... Since we have a while, my goal is to get the major stuff booked then take a break and do things nice and slow!! We have a long engagement.. lets enjoy it!

you are definetly NOT crazy. we booked a lot of stuff, church, hall, photo/video and limos all in the same week. then we just stopped. there is not muchh more we need to do. i'm not going to a florist yet, i don't know what color dresses my girls will be wearing and i don't know what kind of flowers i want. as far as everything else, it can wait. just enjoy the time now, because in another few months, you won't be able to.

After FH & I booked the hall back in July, we took a break until November when we booked the photo/video, i ordered BM & my dress...Now we haven't done anything since then...we are trying to enjoy life but we are also house hunting, which is taking up much of our time

House hunting!! how fun!! I cant wait until we are in a position to do that! Hopefully we will be well into our search this time next year... i dont even know where to start with that!

Totally not crazy. You have already done way more that many people. Just think of all the 06 brides who aren't even engaged yet.

House hunting is fun but I think it is more stressful then wedding planning! This is the place that you are going to be a family in Then you always have the letdown of not getting your bid accepted...We did that this summer & it was so hard for me to get over!

Uh, NO......I am so in the same boat. We just dont want every waking minute of our engaged life about the wedding. That is why we chose to have a long engagement...to enjoy it before we get all stressed out.
No, you are not crazy and eventually we are all going to be going CRAZY with all the planning soon to come. So sitting back and taking a break is the best thing you could do

You are definately not crazy...we just want to book the rest of the major items...photographer, church, limos and dj...

the rest we'll plan towards the beginning of next year and end of this year.

NO WAY! I feel the same way.....I want to enjoy being engaged and not be to stressed out. We have over a year unitl our wedding so we are taking out time planning

I try not to be obsessed, but I find myself thinking about the wedding every darn day!!! Even in the car, listening to the radio, I think, 'that would be a good song at the wedding!'. I can't seem to stop myself!

You are definitely not crazy! I feel the same way you do. I don't even have the hall booked yet! I have so many people asking questions and pressuring me to book the hall. All I know is that I want to enjoy myself, time with my FH and friends. The wedding is nice I am am ready to be married, but I am also want to just enjoy being engaged.

I needed a break too. I just cant stop thinking about the wedding though. I got the hall, dj, and my dress, flower girl basket and votive candles (cudge.net). I am stressed though right now b/c we are building our home so that sometimes takes precedence over the wedding.

So, I posted a while back about not having fun and I just wanted a break....

And I did it. I gave myself a break. Now I am back in force and LOVING it.!

Kissy - she once said that she LOVES wedding planning and now I see why - because she gave herself a break.

It doesn't mean you can't look at the website and gather ideas, but don't do it till you are ready.

We too were looking at houses, but not have decided to hold off till the Fall. It was sad, since yesterday we saw an amazing condo that I would love to own, but it just isn't in the cards right now.

I only see FH like once a week if I am lucky and I try not to talk to him about it. You gotta do what you want!

I can honestly say that I am so glad that I took a break from planning...I was constantly on here & looking for new ideas & setting the cards up so that I was ready when we resumed planning...Then when we started booking appointments again & all, I knew what I wanted & I could actually enjoy the process without stressing.

Just like Leese, I only see FH on the weekends, so we try to do as much as possible but also enjoy our lives & not let this wedding take over!

Now I am helping my MOH plan her 06 wedding...She just started to look at halls, so I am back in the swing of wedding planning
Remember to take it easy & relax, we have plenty of time to get what we want & be completely happy!

im a loser- i kinda like planning - once the hall was booked i felt better. its fun to use this site and figure out what i want. i think once everything is done i will be bored :(
