Does anybody else get depressed during the cold winter months?

I get so down come January. When I leave my house it is dark; leaving work dark again. I hate the cold frigid weather; I just want to stay in bed. It seems I spend every winter playing the waiting game for spring and summer; and they never come fast enough. I try to keep busy and do some fun things but I feel so down. I am so much more productive in pleasant weather. Anyone else? I think it is actually called Seasonal Depression. I would love to be in Florida or Cali right now.

It's very common and part of it comes from not getting as much sunlight as we do during the other times of the year. I lose all motivation to get anything done in the winter!

Yes definitely!
When I get really depressed about the cold I watch home videos of me in FL or somewhere warm.

omg i just hate this damn weather. that's why i can't wait to move the hell out of here. I'm a warm climate girl.

YESSSS! i realized i had seasonal depression about 9 years ago after i spent my first winter in upstate NY. a small college town smack in the middle of the snowbelt will do that to anyone! i still haven't worked through this depression though and once November hits, I become depressed.

You are not alone... I hate this time of year... all I want to do is lie in my bed and eat!!
