Candy Bar???

Is anyone having a candy bar/buffet at their wedding? Do you have any pics to share?

We were thinking of doing this but I am not sure how many different types of candy I would need...

I did this and it was such a hit the NRC bought all my vases and scoops to use for future weddings. Everyone loved it! I haveGREAT pics but still havent downloaded my proofs. I will post them soon (I hope!)

MrsBrad --How much candy did you buy? I am trying to figure out how much this will cost if I bought everything myself...Originally, I was going to buy the containers and candy but now I found a store that will "rent" everything to me and set it up at the hall --but she wants to charge me a lot of money! I am thinking maybe it will be best for me to do it all myself....

Do you mean a Venetian Hour?

If so, a Venetian hour (Or Viennesse Hour) is an hour dessert time - usually an elaborate buffet display. Dancing stops and guests select from a variety of cakes, pastries, coffee, desserts, cookies, pies. ice cream. fruit, etc. I went to a wedding where there was a candy cart, pretzels. (depends on your hall how elaborate it is)...Some halls have mini ones with less items.

No, I was referring to a candy bar which you can have your hall set up during your Venetian Hour if you are having one. We are going to have the candy bar set up at our After Hours instead of during the Venetian Hour...

Basically it is a table set up with all kinds of candy in cool containers with mini scoops for your guests to help themselves...I am also going to get cute bags with custom labels made....

I wanna see a picture, I LOVE CANDY , do you have to have a venetian hour to have this though we are having platters on the table instead.

no, i don't think you have to have a venetian hour...you can set it up so your guests can take the candy as they leave????

i guess it would depend on your hall...

So you can use any type of bowls and vases. Where do you get the scoops from?

yes, i think you can use any type of bowls, vases, even flower pots!

i think you can get the scoops from the restaurant supply district in the city???? i have to do some research on that...
