Do you guys think that if you know exactly what you want, ANY florist could do it well?
I mean, if you know what you want, is there really that much of a difference in who you choose?

hmm i think it depends. i honestly think that the work of some florists are better than others. for example, i think fleurs de florissma does excellent work and some florists just dont compare with them. it all just depends on your budget and how important flowers are to you...i think.

Personally, I'd rather go with a reputable florist who is known for their work. Each wedding for them is like adversiting- I want to make sure they do a good job.
I also think it is important for them to know your venue- I chose to go with a house vendor cause of this as well. They know where there is a stairway, a mantle- or they know what you are talking about when you mention details like that.

Nope, I showed 4 florists the same picture and although 3 of them worked to come up with something similar one was way off. I was told that I couldn’t get hydrangea in September which was the main flower throughout the decorations. At one point I showed them a picture of a flower I liked with the name printed under it and she couldn’t even pronounce it and told me I couldn’t get it either. Basically all I could get was roses.
On the other hand 3 other florists told me hydrangea would be no problem at all. Even cheaper than roses because I would need less.
Also each florist suggested different flowers and colors to compliment my "vision". They were all nice but I ultimately went with Flower Michelle. He came closer that anyone in understanding what I wanted and also had the best price!

Definately NO!! A florist may be able to put something together you like, but a GOOD FLORIST will be able to put something together that you LOVE and will use better quality flowers that will last.

No- It definitely matters who you choose- not everyone has equal amounts of talent.
