Brides Taking Pics Before the Ceremony...

How much time are you putting aside to take pictures before? Our ceremony starts at 6:30pm, and our hall won't let us get there to take pics on the grounds until 4pm. Is this enough time?

Thanks!

Re: Brides Taking Pics Before the Ceremony...

I think that should be plenty of time. Will the pictures be mostly of you and FH? Or will that include the whole bridal party? From the weddings I've been in, the larger the bridal party, the longer it takes to get the pictures done.

Re: Brides Taking Pics Before the Ceremony...

Oh, and I wanted to add...my FH and I are planning on seeing each other before the ceremony to take pictures and such. We decided that we would see each other for the first time in a quiet area, without too many other people. You know, that way we can steal a moment or two together and really take it all in.

We are taking all pictures before ceremony. It starts at 7:30pm but we will get there about 5pm. We want to enjoy our cocktail hour with our guests.

Re: Brides Taking Pics Before the Ceremony...

We started our pics at the hall at 9:00 for an 11:30 ceremony. We figured 2 hours for the pics there and it worked out to be plenty of time. We even got the ketubah signing and some calming down in before the ceremony. Remember, you will also be taking pics at home before you go to the hall (with Duet) so that saves time at the hall.

Mag, where you been? You never FM'd me back

Re: Brides Taking Pics Before the Ceremony...

Good, glad to hear that this is enough time. I was worried. Mostly, I was concerned about the sun going down...I want to take some pics on the grounds of the Watermill. I guess this is fine.

We want to have a few minutes alone when we see each other for the first time, too. Trying to manage that with all the chaos of the day should be interesting.

Are all of you taking pics at home with the BP and your families too before the hall? I have 7 girls in my BP.

Re: Brides Taking Pics Before the Ceremony...

I think that should be fine for most of the pics if not all. How is the lighting in November from 4 - 6:30. I honestly forget.. Will they be outdoors or indoors?

Re: Brides Taking Pics Before the Ceremony...

I think the sun will go down a little after 5, so we have an hour to take pics outside. Luckily, the Watermill has a photo-ready area to take pics inside too, so we will take more there.

Thank you everyone! I feel better!

Re: Brides Taking Pics Before the Ceremony...

I really want lots of pictures and lots of time for them. So, we will go to a park., Woodbury Gardens before going to the hall.

My ceremony starts at 7:30 but the photographer will come to my house around 1pm.
2pm we'll leave the house to get to the gardens (the bridal party).
3 - 4:30 the bridal party will take pics
and than by 5:30 we will be at the hall and take pics with the family untill 7:00pm.

Thats our schedule. As you can see, we start way before the 2 1/2 hours that is given at the hall.
