Unless the people you are inviting tend to be light to non-drinkers, I would say yes, definitely.

Re: E Party on SUNDAY night-Open bar or No open bar?
I wouldn't do open bar at an e-party. I would do bottles of white and red on each table and maybe a champagne toast.

We didn't - we got the beer and wine package, and everyone seemed to be happy with that.

Open Bar: ONLY b/c I went to an EParty this weekend and I swear, I heard it more than twenty times: What the F - I don't like wine...I don't like beer....Would it kill them to have an open bar for $10 more a person???I couldn't believe it. The FI and I just sat there and took note of it b/c we couldn't believe the audacity of people (sp?)

Re: E Party on SUNDAY night-Open bar or No open bar?
we are having beer and wine- it is a sunday afternoon. i'm sorry if people are upset, but we are on a very tight budget!! our eparty is 120 people!!!we are also having beer, wine, and champagne only at our wedding reception- which is also a sunday afternoon and will end around 4:30- IMO, if peoplpe need a drink that bad, they can go to a bar!
i think sometimes you just have to make decisions like that in order to fit other things that may be more important in your budget. JMO

I might be having an open bar at my e-party this sat. if not then it will just be wine and beer. Most of my family are not heavy drinkers at all.

Re: E Party on SUNDAY night-Open bar or No open bar?
I'd say that being it's on a Sunday night and people will have to work the next day, you should be ok with just beer and wine. Have red and white. I think if someone really needs a 'drink' then they could go to the bar. Chances are they'll just drink what's given to them as it's FREE. I think if it's not in your budget, then don't do it. I'm learning it's all these little things that are adding up.JMO

Its people like this that make us brides crazy!!! 10 extra per person can add up to a lot. People always have something to say, if you cant afford it then no biggie, if they are complaining that theres no alcohol, then they shouldnt be there to begin with. Do what you can afford and most importantly what makes you and FH happy. Best of luck!!!!
oh and congrats on the party:)

Make wine and beer available. If people want hard alcohol, cover the tab but don't do it as a package.

I totally agree. I would cut back on the food and favors before I cut back on the drinks, that is what brings the party to life IMO

What is wrong with people? $10 more a person x however many people are there! That could be over $1000 more!
