Re: weight loss b4 the wedding
Well, since you have a year and not much weight to lose, you might want to take a look at the book 'French Women Don't Get Fat.' It's more of a lifestyle/change your relationship with food program than a diet program. It has some minuses definitely, but the advice offered is sound--basically, eat small portions, exercise, don't deprive yourself completely of foods you love, etc. It's a no brainer really, but I know sometimes reading stuff like this helps get me motivated.
Good luck!

Re: weight loss b4 the wedding
South BEach. I lost 4 pounds last week. This is my second week. And I hve not cheated at all!! I am so happy with my results so far. It is much better than Atkins which I have tried and cheated in the first couple of days. South Beach is easier, but you gotta be motivated. Try it. I guess exercise would help. I wanna use Winsor Pilates so I am hoping that I will find some time to do it.Good luck!!

I strongly suggest weight watchers. it worked wonders for me and everyone who tried it after me. i lost 33 lbs and I have been keeping it off for 22 months. it taught me some much about eating correctly.

Atkins...love it! It's strict but it works - I'm down 1 dress size already and I started 2 weeks ago (I started last month but cheated, it's been 2 weeks straight 'on').

Re: weight loss b4 the wedding
I second WW. I've lost 17 pounds since Feb 16th (I weigh in again tomorrow-so it might even be more of a loss) and I do NOT feel like I'm on a diet at ALL. WW is DEFINITELY easy to incorporate into your life.

Re: weight loss b4 the wedding
I am in the same boat as you, only want to lose 10-15 lbs.I started with a trainer last October and last week decided to cut out a lot of carbs...almost all. I lost almost 5 lbs since Monday!
I am getting more toned in the arms and legs too, and my stomach is flatter...a little
I don't measure by the scale, but how my clothes fit and how I think I look.....I am really bad with the whole body image thing though...I'll never be happy!
Good Luck

Re: weight loss b4 the wedding
i jump started with south beach and pilates to lose the initial weight. eventually, i transitioned weight machines to tone up. i saw really fast results with each one (noticeable difference in body shape, how clothes fit, etc... within two weeks.good luck!

Re: weight loss b4 the wedding
Weight Watchers - since Feb I've lost almost 10 lbs and I've been working out a ton (so I think I've gained muscle weight too) - but def WW works.I REALLY noticed a difference when I increased my cardio - I do at least 50mins to an hour each time i'm at the gym.
