Douglaston Manor

Hi Girls,

I'm new to LI weddings - Have been hanging out on The Knot.
I am getting down to the wire to book an engagement party and am going for a food tasting to Douglaston Manor this weekend. It is my top choice right now, but I have a concern. I am booking the Terrace Room (?). The one all the way to the left when you walk in that has a terrace overlooking the golf course. I am concerned about whether or not you can hear music from the adjoining room. We are having a Saturday night in October party and I don't want it to ruin the party if there is loud music from next door. I am dealing with Chris and he told me that they stagger the start times of the parties by 1 1/2 hours. Any feedback would be great.

I have never been there, but have heard great things about it. Along with Caffe on the Green it's a top shower location for me.

My cousin has all of her parties there. We've been there for her son' birthday party, a christening and this weekend we've got her dauther's first communion. We're always in the room that overlooks the golf course and I never noticed any music from the other rooms, but to be honest I didn't realize they did more than one party at once. Which, I guess, is a good sign, right?
