Any New York City Brides Out There?

Anyone who has been married in the city or planning at wedding here - I would love to hear from you.

I need ideas on Venues and Caterers. I love reading the message board but everyone seems to be from Long Island.

You definitely need to get on theknot.com - there's a NY Board w/loads of ladies. Great vendor info too.

I am in NYC and getting married in the city as well. Most everyone on these boards is from LI, but I still find the information really useful.

There is also an nycityweddings.com site just like this one.... I've never personally used it but you may want to check it out....

Thanks for the suggestions- heading over to the sites.

Oh, and yes of course I will keep looking at this site - besides I might not even be able to afford a city wedding

The Chat Boards for LIW and NYCityWeddings.com are linked together but they are different because the Vendors are different.

NYCityweddings have Vendors in that area and LIWeddings have Vendors who live on LI.

By board standard, my wedding was ages ago (2002) but I got married in NYC.

I looked at both NYC and LI vendors and ended up picking mostly LI vendors for a variety of reasons.

My FI and I wanted a NYC wedding REALLY bad. We checked out a few places but the prices are really high and they dont offer alot for the money. Many things are EXTRA

I used Oksana. She is a vendor on this site. My hair was done by a friend of mine as a favor, but I know that Oksana works with a couple of hairdressers.
