Little things I never thought about...
I went to a wedding on Saturday and suddenly had all these weird little questions that I didn't know the answers to...likeWho puts the pew bows on the pews (if they are not from a florist).
Who coordinates the people walking down the aisle...in terms of the spacing of people, etc. the photographer?
These are the types of things that you always assumed just happened, but now that it is my turn I realized they can't JUST happen. Any past brides have any other things like this that they didn't know, but found out...please share your knowlege. Thanks!

Re: Little things I never thought about...
we got married at the hall, so they would have done the pew bows if I had them.I gave them a list of my party and how I wanted them set up, and on the day of the wedding, my BM set us all up and told us when to start to go down the aisle.

Re: Little things I never thought about...
At our church there was a 'coordinator' who told each person exactly when to go. Even after the rehersal, my BP needed someone to tell them the precise moment when to start.I had my brother put the pew bows on because I didnt get them from my florist.

Re: Little things I never thought about...
at our rehearsal I tihnk the preist told the girls to wait until the other one almost at the front. The first one goes when the music changes.I think that is what happend at a wedding I was in.
Our pew bows were done by the florist, otherwise you have to send someone early, if it is in a church. Ask first though.

Re: Little things I never thought about...
our church has a 'coordinater' that will tell us all that at the rehearsal... and at a weddng i was in last summer, the priest did it at the rehearsal he told us ' ok... now wait till the girl ahead of you gets to here before you start' or whatever... as far as the pew bows... my coordinator is gonna do that for us, but you could have one of teh groomsman or an aunt or something do it.....

Re: Little things I never thought about...
Can't really answer the first part. Mine were from a florist- so my florist put the pew bows on.I got married at the hall. The matre di/coordinator did that. My hall gave me a worksheet and I s/w the MD about it. FF's staff spaced everyone out to walk down the aisle.
All the little things that needed to be there the day of- tear packs, programs, cake topper, cake cutting set, wish bowl, etc...- were dropped off at the hall a few days prior to the wedding. I wrote up brief instructions and also went over it at the final meeting. FF's staff put them around as I had asked.
Good luck and don't stress out about it too much. It really does come together.

Re: Little things I never thought about...
My DH's Aunt put of the pew decorations. Then, she took them down and brought them home for us. (My MIL's house was across the street from the church, so that was pretty easy)You have to decide the spacing. I decided on '4 pews apart' for spacing, but I think 5 or 6 would have been better for the photographer- he only get 1 shot of each person, and missed the 1st groomsman altogether. Not sure if the extra spacing would have done anything for the 1st guy, but I guess it would have helped.

Re: Little things I never thought about...
If you're getting married at a church there is usually someone their (the singer usually) who coordinates it.As for the pew bows if you're doing them yourself I would think you would need to assign someone that task.

Re: Little things I never thought about...
I have no idea who takes care of the pew bows - but anytime I've been a bridesmaid or MOH, the limo drivers took charge of the processional - telling us when to walk, etc.Welcome New Vendors
