Girls is this a good price??

i just got a quote for a 3 piece band (piano player, bass, sax- who will also play flute for ceremony) for my ceremony and CT hr and it came to $850. Is this decent???

That seems a little high. The going rate is about $200 per musician.

Did you try After Hours Orchestra, they have great prices and they sound awesome! They're a vendor on here.

I hired encore music and am getting a harp, flute, violin trio for before ceremony, ceremony and cocktail house and am paying $750. I know is a little more because I have the harp, because when I was just having violins it was a lot cheaper.

Is there travel between your ceremony and reception? If so, I would figure that in as well. If not, it seems a little high for what, 2 hours of work?

I just noticed, you have almost the same wedding date I do, only in '06!

From what you described with piano, bass and sax, it sounds like some members from a set band are contracting themselves out. Did you get the quote from your DJ? If so, it sounds like you are paying the DJ a finders fee on top of what the musicians get.

Are you going to have them play jazz? I love jazz!

I had a piano and flute/piano and sax for my ceremony and CH. It was part of the package and it was a few years ago, but that is a little high. If you love them though, go for it!
