I would like too, but it seems to be a source of conflicting interest in my family! I should learn to keep my trap shut with 'ideas' and only inform them afterward the decision is made...lol

Okay, ladies, roughly how much will your wine favor setup be costing you??
I wanted to do wine bottles ($8.00 each) with personalized label, at each table 5 jordan almonds in a little mesh bag tied w/ handmade fall themed wine charms.
I'm being told that this is too much & too expensive.
That the wine charms w/ almonds would be enough. Or just the wine alone.
What do you think???

I think it's a lot, but if you do one per couple it's not so bad. Our favors came out to about $550, it was a little over $12 per couple (we only had 100 adult guests) and we did:
-Full Size bottle of Pugliese Blush Table Wine in organza pouch from www.pouchmart.com (bought 5 cases = 60 bottles)
-Blue and Silver jordan almonds (11 in box) in a clear cube box with blue and silver (those were our colors) ribbon with our names and date. This was one per person...we made 110.
-Lindt white chocolate truffles in vellum bag with card attached...they served as place cards.
Yes it was a lot, and honestly people didn't even care about the favors...they had so much fun that they weren't expecting anything (a first in our familie's events!  ) but I "had" to have all 3...in the end they were nice touches but had I decided to do without something no one would have cared.
It's YOUR wedding...d what makes you happy. If you can comfortably afford something and want to do it, go for it. Don't listen to anyone, in the end you have to answer to yourself! 
Feel free to FM if you have  as I don't check the boards as much.

I am doing the wine thing too - from Duck walk... How did you all present them?? Bags? No bags? I think I am making tags with ribbons to hang on them to serve as a "this is your thank you" and as a place card.... Anyone else do that?? TIA

Hey date twin!  We got ours from Pugliese (where we got engaged) and they have such pretty bottles already that we didn't want to cover them with a bag. We're just making favor tags to hang around the neck and explain why the vineyard is important to us. They also wrote our names and wedding date on the neck of the bottle, which was a nice touch.
We thought about doing the dual favor/placecard thing but the problem we anticipated is that people start to look for their placecard before the CH (or earlier since we're getting married onsite). It would be inconvenient for people to be walking around holding bottles of wine during the CH or ceremony.
Our solution was to have the wait staff present them to guests at their tables after the dinner plates have been cleared, so the tables won't look too cluttered. They'll pass out whatever number per table we give them. Hope this helps!

Thats an awesome Idea, thanks! I didn't think of having the wait staff pass out the number per table that we give them!! How did they write your names on the bottle?? That sounds cute!! The day is coming fast! You would think I would have this stuff done by now!!!
