Bridesmaids Not Smiling in Pictures
I went to a wedding this weekend and the Bridesmaids were not smiling at all. Someone in the aisle told the maids to smile for the pictures. They looked upset even though they weren't. Would it be rude if I told my Bridesmaid to smile even if they have to force it for pictures? I would hate to see them in pictures looking like their not enjoying themselves. Does anyone else have this concern?

just tell your bridesmaid about the wedding you went to....they will probably all agree that it was wrong of the Bm's not to smile for pics...and Im sure that they will smile.

Re: Bridesmaids Not Smiling in Pictures
ask your photographer to remind them. But, to tell you the truth, if someone is having a 'bad day' she still isn't going to smile.FM if you like to see photos

Put vaseline on their teeth, they'll be sure to smile!
They did that when I used to be a cheerleader..the girls that did not smile they came around and put vaseline on their teeth.
I swear to that, my mom could NOT believe that and pulled me out! I even remember the coach that was doing that!

You ladies are funny!
I like the idea of telling them the story about the wedding I went too. It's an indirect way of saying, 'I want you to smile for pictures.' I know it's nobody's intention but I want them to keep in mind their faces.

maybe something happened with the bride that they were upset about?have the photographer remind everyone several times. that way he's the annoying one, not you. tell him in advance

Re: Bridesmaids Not Smiling in Pictures
I think the only way to get your girls to smile is for you to smile and be happy and crack some jokes together. The best smiles come from laughter. If the girls you saw weren't smiling, there may have been something about the bride you didn't know.
Personally, if the girls were told what to wear and how to wear it, they may be a little resentful and think they can have whatever facial expression they want. The bride can dress them, but she can't program their emotions.
Whatever you do, don't TELL them to smile. Most people don't like to be bossed around.
