Missing Marriage License! Good News! With Contact Number for the Queens Office
I just called my priest to see if he mailed the marriage license and he said he gave it to someone at the church! Then I called the church and they found a copy in my file that the priest made at the rehersal but doesn't know if anyone mailed it since the priest is supposed to take care of it! Gulp!
I called the priest back to see if he left it after the actual wedding with someone to mail but he wasn't there. I am totally freaking out! I know we have a copy but I doubt the state of NY will accept it! Plus we live in CA so I can't even go down to the courthouse to check!
Help!

I did finally get in touch with the county clerk. I dialed the next number of the last digit of the phone number and someone actually answered! She didn't knowhow to check if it was received but she said to call back tomoorow. i really need to know if we need to go through the hassle of ordering a new one, especially since I live in CA and you need to bring the duplicate in person !

good news! I finally got in contact with someone at the Clerk's office and its there! She did the paperwork this morning and its going out in the mail today!
Whew! That was a relief!
Plus I will be able to change all my stuff before I go back to work in Sept. Yea!
Here's the number to actually get a human being(who was great by the way) in Queens.
1-718-286-2847- the number they list is 286-2846 and that phone just rings and rings....
