i would definitely talk to her. explain that you would love for her to make your dress and that you don't want to cause her pain or stress. maybe bring up your concerns with timing. see what she has to say. i mean, you don't want to just take this away from her if it's something that brightens her day, but you don't want to be walking down the aisle in jeans.

If you decide to go with another seamstress, let me know...one of my co-worker's mom is a seamstress and made her wedding gown...FM me if you want further onfo.

I would definitely have a serious talk with her. As an experienced seamstress, I'm sure she knows her own limitations, especially now that she is sick. Hopefully her pride won't get in her way and she will do what's best for the both of you.

Here is a really good idea! Why not the two of you go dress shopping for either used or not so new wedding dresses and haver alter it for you to be an orgional! That way its a LOT less work and she can still say she made that dress.
