Cute FSIL driving me just a little crazy.

She is a real cute kid. I LOVE her very much, but lately she keeps calling nonstop. She is 15 and eson't understand that we have prepayed phone and every min, even 2 seconds into a minute is ten cents. She calls just to talk about nothing. I know she is just bored and really wants to break away from mom and dad, but enough is enough. If I talk to her parents about it, they'll tell her that she is bothering us and that we don't love her like she thinks we do. (They'll do that because they don't want terry being so crazy about her brother or myself, hes the black sheep.) I don't know what to do. We don't have a car right now to drive ALL the way to commack just to see her. We don't have the money to take her out and we don't want my FILs to pick us up because joe doesn't want them knowing where we live. HIS request. I feel bad, but what can I do?

No her parents don't allow her to have IM's. They are very over protective. She can't even have her own email.

Can you set certain times to talk to her? Seems like she needs you guys though -- so see what you can do to keep the contact as regular as possible... Maybe have her parents drop her off somewhere public where you guys could hang out with her for awhile?

The thing is, her parent won't make it easy for us. Her mom doesn't want us all hanging out, its my FFIL who allows it. But the mother will find any excuse not to take her to meet us. Its just one big headache. And even if we set time for her, because we tried that, she just talks for hours about NOTHING. I know she is just lonely, but it eats our mins. and I need my phone for work. Sorry! Trust me I tried allt his. I guess I just need to vent. I really miss the kid and so does my FH.
