Belize

Has anyone ever been? Do they recommend this for a HM location?

Re: Belize

We considered it, it is a big divers location if you are into that. OUr travel agent didn't recommended it for a HM since he said it's not really that safe. I am sure it's fine on the resorts though.

Re: Belize

There are some fantastic resorts there., and the dollar goes a long way.

We considered Belize or even Costa Rica for our HM but ruled it out because we went to Honduras and the Bay Islands this year. The culture, climate, beaches, etc are very similar and so we thought we would go to a different part of the world. But we absolutely loved it.

Check out this resort: http://www.blancaneaux.com/site.php. It is owned by Francis Ford Coppola. Rated as a top resort by Travel and Leisure Magazine, I have heard such great things about it.

'Real luxury (open-air baths, handcrafted mahogany furniture, a spa) in a remote jungle location.'
