Hi Girls, where did you buy your slipper baskets? Also, where did you get your slippers? and do you know where I can find the poem that goes in the basket? TIA

I havent purchaed slippers yet but I saw this website posted and I thought the slippers looked really resonably priced.

I found my slippers at Solo 99 in Central Islip...I bought a big wicker basket from Michaels for about $2.50, on sale this week, to put them in.

what is a slipper basket? Is it a basket with different size slippers for the ladies when they are tired of wearing thier heals at the party?? Is this a tradition? were do you put the slipper basket? is it for everyone or just the bridal party?

i got mine for .99 at a dollar store in baldwin, they were also at another dollar store in freeport as well. here are some poems, i posted this a while ago on BHB......

here are some cute poems my mom put together for slipper baskets if any of you would like to use them!

1. Dance around with your pretty shoes, and never miss a beat, But when they ache just take a break, and wear these on your feet

2. All dressed up with pretty shoes,dancing more and more, Please help yourself to a pair of these, if your feet should get sore

3. When your feet begin to hurt,and you don't think you can move, put these slippers on your feet,and get back in the groove

4. Bought new shoes to match your dress and now they're feeling tight?Have not a care just take a pair,and you can dance all night

thought they were cute.... feel free to use them and/or make any changes to suit your needs!


HTH! I plan on putting them outside the reception door because I think there will be another wedding going on at the same time and we will be sharing a bathroom! so i am going to have a seperate table from the favors and I am going to put the slippers w/ one of the above poems as well as a few boxes of cigars for the men.

I used these! Your Mom is the BEST!!!

We're having our slipper basket by the DJ. We are too sharing a bathroom with another wedding and Suzboss suggested having the DJ make an announcement because most times the little old ladies who aren't dancing snatch them up..a few at a time! Leaving non for the dancers!
