Tip for future brides
when you order your veil, make sure you have a swatch of the dress with you.My dress is ivory, or at least that is what the mfg. calls it. when I went to pick up my veil yesterday, I held it next to the swatch of the dress and the veil looked yellow next to the swatch!

thank goodness I still have time to have another one re-made in the correct color! But I have to pay another 1/2 of what the veil cost.

That was one of my concerns but I wasn't quite sure what to do about it. Thanks for the heads up!

Awhh.. Dina..that stinks!Same thing happened to me. We ordered the veil in ivory and when we saw it next to my gown it looked...old, antique like! So the bridal shop recommended we do diamond white instead.

I ordered the veil in light ivory but the actual match to my dress was the “off white” veil.

My dress is a funkyy color , so I had a hard time matching, thankfully veilshop.com sent me a bunch of swatches, and had somethig that matched. Thanks for the tip though!!

Also wanted to add to do this with the groom's shirt as well. I have a diamond white dress and my groom and all the ushers are wearing ivory shirts. I matched them up this weekend and they look great together but like you said sometimes Ivory can look yellow so that's another thing to make sure of.
