church wont let my flower girl throw petals!

so i just found out that my flower girl is not allowed to drop petals on her walk up the aisle...should i even bother having a flower girl now? they also wont let me use an aisle runner, and im only allowed birdseed or rice outside...this is nuts

My church did allow the flower petals either, but we did it anyway.

Not sure why they would not want an aisle runner. I would ask for an explaination on that one.

They probably are worried that people may trip over the isle runner. (that is what we were told) Did you ask if your flowergirl could throw fake petals?

My church has basically the same rules. You should definitely still have a FG. She can carry a kissing ball or a basket of flowers or a small bouquet.

I haven't booked my church yet because i have time but i looked online at their rules and they don't want aisle runners (because of 'safety reasons', flower girl petals or anything being thrown outside..so my ceremony is gonna be very boring...but i'm still having a flowergirl..because they're just so darn cute! if you still want to have a flowergirl you could have her carry a basket with a mini bo-k inside it..or give her a bo-k like the bm's have?

reason why a church wouldn't allow flower petals to be tossed is because it would stain the floor or carpet. it's a huge hassle to clean it up. what you could do - that's if you still want petals tossed is to go for fake petals. it'll create the same image and will look great. the petals will get stepped on and the fake petals will still hold its color.

ive just always thought of rose petals being scattered by the flower girl before i come down the aisle..thats what ive always envisioned for my wedding....its not like shes going to throw 29384348348 petals..shes going to be 4...her little hands might be able to throw 2 at a time for a grand total of 30 tops! i think im going to ask the priest why they dont allow it, and then beg..maybe they will go for the fake petals thing..i already have those from my e-party
