gown shopping - update!

ladies,

going dress shopping with my mom tomorrow and saturday :)

I'm going to go to Fantasia, Wedding Center of Commack and Burton's... which has the biggest selection and best prices? Did anyone get their Maggie Sottero gown at any of those places?

ETA: I tried on 33 dresses yesterday at Fantasia (Maria was completely wonderful!).... but I am not in love with strapless, especially for my Oct wedding. They didn't really have many with sleeves and I tried one on with illusion sleeves and liked the look.... want to see others to print out and take with me next weekend as I continue my hunt! My mom and I got there at 11:45 and didnt leave until 4:30!! I narrowed it down to 5 favorites... can't wait to go again next weekend!!

i've only been to burtons and i had a great experince so far...bought my gown in august. they don't have the biggest selection, but for the prices, they are sooooo worth it.

I got a Maggie Sottero! I got it at Bridal Suite of Bay Shore.

I only price compared at the Bridal Suite of Huntington (Burton's dress section was closed when I stopped by - no appt.) and they were $10 more.

Maggie's are a great find/price anyway! Great quality for a reasonable price (in bridal gowns which can usually be very pricey).

Bay Shore is closer to me and they really treated me wonderfully. They have a fabulous selection and carry practically every line of BM dresses.

Good luck and report back on Burton's - I've heard GREAT things about Burton's.

does Bridal Suite of Bay Shore require an appt to try gowns on? I want to make this a marathon weekend, hehe :)

I got my BM dresses at Burton's. The women that work their (not sure if they are the owners) are extremely nice. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. They were very patient and not pushy. They will continue to show you dresses until you are satisfied. My only regret is that I didn't go there before I had ordered my gown from somewhere else.

I got my gown at Fantasia, and they were AWESOME!!!!! I had a wonderful day there, the girls are the best, so helpful! They really know what they are doing, and know what they have in stock, they kept pulling dress after dress for me, and all of the gowns were gorgeous!

I bought my gown (not a Maggie) at the Commack Wedding Center. I had a good experience.

Love Burton's
Got my dress there. I have to admit when we first were there (I went with my FMIL) that we wanted to turn around and walk out b/c it's really tight in there and we felt a little claustrophobic at first, but I'm so glad we stuck it out b/c I love my dress and it was less than the other dresses I was looking at at David's. They were very helpful with suggesting dresses to try on and being patient while I fell in love with each one. Also, they let me come visit my dress and they're really nice about it.

I got my dress from burtons.. I did try things on elsewhere to kinda get the feel of things because the selection is limited at burtons.. the price cant be beat and carole has helped me SOOOO much
