Any secrets I should know about?? I just ate a pop tart and now I feel like a fat oaf.

Don't feel so bad!!! I just killed off a plate of baked ziti loaded with cheese, and I didn't make it to the gym this week!! I feel like Jabba the Hut!!!

Okay Let me break this down..
No carbs.. so that eliminates, the rice, mashed potatoes, stuffing & biscuits
I cant eat the turkey because of the tryptophan which will get me sleepy wich with then affect my activity level and lack of ability to burn calories.
So that leaves.. hmmm.. cranberry sauce.. wait no.. thats sugar.
Apple pie.. wait.. no. Thats sugar too.
That leaves me with the broccoli and water!!!!

Portion control. This is my second Thanksgiving following WW. Last year I had turkey, veggies, mashed potatoes, stuffing and homemade dinner rolls (mine). Meal total, 15 points. Second helping of stuffing - 5 points. Points allowance for the day 22 (w/out using flex points). Breakfast 2 points. Total points for the day 22!!

Just eat the way you would any other day of the week - look, it's one day where you are going to eat a bit more - forgive yourself - what I find the worst is taking home or eating the leftovers for the rest of the week/month - that is what does it. Just try to stay within the amount you would eat going out to dinner - allow yourself a bit of each side, a little piece of each dessert, and then walk away and join the family in the living room...Also, try to reduce calories by not drinking with your meal - skip the wine, beer, whatever...
Try to work out Thursday morning too- you'll feel better, and will feel that you already did somehting good for your body, and may encourage you to keep that going!

I am going to the gym tomorrow morning come hell or high water! I am doing WW this year, so I will eat sensibly (plain oatmeal for breakfast= 2 pts.). Then I'll have some baby carrots (10= 0 pts.). Then I will eat dinner. We eat 2 dinners since we go to both families, so I am just going to eat small portions. You can do it Janie!

Yes- I am extra careful each year because we have 2 days of thanksgiving - my parents do Friday nights so that the married people can be with the spouse's familes on Thurs., and my cousin does Thanksgiving on thurs. as well - we go there for dessert - - this way my gma can be with her and us, and we all have a chance to be together for 2 days...I have to say that being a vegan helps me eat on Thanksgiving like it is every other day, however, we do order awesome vegan food, and people like to make us vegan things that are just as fatening (if not more so) than normal food!!!

I am on a very strict 800 calorie diet right now, but i plan on enjoying my Thanksgiving. I am not going to stuff myself sick, but I will enjoy my favorite foods. I plan to go for a run in the morning,The hardest part is getting back on friday and sticking with it. No left overs for me!

I will eat what I want in moderation for that one day only (no piggin out on leftovers for the rest of the week!). And if I want a piece of cake, by golly I will eat it.The rest of the week, keep following WW and exercise. I should be ok and if I happen to gain a pound, I'll just take it off the following week.

As for me, I will go to the gym tomorrow morning, as well as Fri, Sat, and Sun. I'm also not really that big an eater, so Thanksgiving doesnt appeal to me that much. I have to watch out for desserts. Thats my downfall.

I will be eating moderately, try not to stuff myself too much, but will enjoy a little of everything. Will work out tomorrow morning and Friday.

i am another one going to the gym friday, sat, and sunday and i will make them longer workouts. i cant resist my mothers gravy and my apple pie that i make!!!!

No, it's not. Please, please, please consider increasing your calorie intake to 1200 per day. Your body will go into starvation mode at less than 1200/day.
