(ps: the pic is the one in my profile)

Re: Anyone use a non-professional pic in their album?

Are you worried that it's not a professional pic, or are you worried that your photographer won't allow you to use te work of another photographer? Either way, if you love the pic, you should go for it.

If it's quality that you're worried about, there are things your photographer can do when laying out the album to make things look consistent. I'm not sure if the pic is digital or film, but either way, make sure they use a high-resolution source (a high resolution digital file, the actual negative, or a high-res scan of the pic) to produce the output. And don't try to make it too big, b/c the bigger the pic, the higher resolution you need to make sure that it doesn't become pixilated.

We're not using a nonprofessional pic, but we have a few shots from our second ceremony that were taken by a different photographer that we want to to use in our album. Duet didn't have a problem with that. We're just supplying them with a high-res file.

Good luck!

I was lucky enough to have a great photographer attend my wedding and he happened to take one of my favorite shots. I included it as a full page spread in my album even though the resolution wasnt as high as a my photographers pictures would have been. I think it looked fine and went with it.
