5 Months to Plan Wedding?
Hi all, I was informed by one of my reception halls that they have an available date in May 2006. The price would be less 'cus it's a cancelled date. Realistically, would 5 months be enough time to plan a wedding?I was thinking about getting married in September 2006 so haven't looked or booked anything else yet. :(

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
My sister-in-law planned her wedding in six months without a hitch, same deal, I think they took a cancelled date and got a good deal. I'd go with it. Might have to have your gown rush ordered though.

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
I think it can be done but you might have to be a little flexible with some vendors... the popular ones might be booked. I heard some vendors will be willing to lower their price when the date is so close.

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
We planned ours in six months, really four b/c we weren't looking at wedding stuff in the beginning of our engagement. It's totally possible and for us it was better, b/c the planning was very stressful. but definatly you would need to be very flexible about other vendors. Also, are you getting married in a church? We're Jewish, so we just got married at hte hall. It might be hard to coordinate antoher site in that short period of time.
One more thing: order your dress now. Most places take 6 months for a dress to come in. What I ended up doing, was going to RK bridal, and there is a line called DaVinci, which comes in in two weeks.
Feel free to FM with any ?

You can definitely plan it in 5 months! If you book, you can post on the vendors board for whatever you need and go from there. Good luck!

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
i have heard of people planning weddings in two months, so it's definitely doable!!!! it may be hard to book the 'popular' LIW photographers/videographers, but dont let that get you down because there are tons of other talented photographers/videographers out there, and they'll probably give you a great deal since you're booking last minute! other than that, i dont think you should have trouble w/any other vendors. good luck!

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
YES...............I booked my hall December 7 for April 30, 2006. Within 2 weeks I had my photographer/videographer, DJ/MC, ordered invitations and ordered my dress! I am ordering bridal party dresses on the 3rd and I have favors picked out.I can be done! And I'm not stressed at all.....of course....I have to admit that this went smoothly with all of the advise from the girls here. I knew where to start and where to go because of the ladies here.
LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
