Can anyone recommend a place for dance instruction?
My cousin's fiance asked me to recommend a place, but since my FH lives upstate we won't be taking dance classes. I never looked into this, so any info would be great! TIA!

I'm actually setting up an appt. with John from Ballroom Dance Long Island. He's on LIW. I haven't met with him yet but was really helpful with his emails and seems to be very nice. He gives you a free first half an hour lesson to see how you like it. I'll let you know how it goes! Wish me luck cause my fiance and I always fight over who's leading!! It could turn into a wrestling match but then again that could be real fun!!!!!!!!!!

We had a lesson with John over the weekend. He was great--very patient, and didn't make us feel uncomfortable even though we both have no rhythm! I left knowing soo much more than before we went for the one lesson. I wish we had taken one before our wedding. He has locations in Nassau and Suffolk. And as much as my DH was dreading going, he suggested we go for more since it was so much fun!

My DH and I were also in on that lesson, and I can vouch for how well Beth and Gregg did!!
We had a Blast dancing. DH, who is usually not a very good dancer, did very well too!

We (DH & I) were there too! John is GREAT! We had so much fun!!! My DH refuses to dance and when we left he turned to John and said we WILL be seeing you again!
I was very excited that he enjoyed himself as much as I did!

Not a stupid question - we asked it too!
I wore the shoes I'll be wearing for the WOTY. If I were you I'd wear your wedding shoes, or something very close if you don't want FH to see them.
