Re: Teeth Whitening/ Bleaching?

I asked my dentist about this and he said my teeth weren't all that bad so whitening might be a bit too much for me. The color wouldn't be too white or it would be spotty. I dont know if I agree, but I tried some other options before going for it.
Before you invest in having professional whitening, try the Crest white strips. I was both a smoker and drink coffee regularly and noticed I needed to white things up a little. I started using them and I literally saw a difference in two days. Also, if your teeth are sensitive, professional whitening can really throw you for a loop. Check out the strips. Or even that listerine whitening mouthmouth (its gross, but also works really well).

Re: Teeth Whitening/ Bleaching?

To tell you the truth I don't think the Zoom was worth it...my dentist told me I dodn't really need oit and that my teeth were pretty bright as they were but I just did it anyway. My teeth were sper, super-sensitive for like 2-3 months. Also I would recommend getting a sonic-care toothbrush first if you don't have one already because I noticed that this lightened my teeth up very well. Ask your regular dentist though if your interested in it.

Re: Teeth Whitening/ Bleaching?

my dentist wouldn't do the zoom on my b/c my teeth are pretty white and I am pretty tan

so I got the white light thing from TV- it worked great- it's $19.99

and it even removed a stain that I had on one tooth!

Re: Teeth Whitening/ Bleaching?

try:

www.britesmile.com

rates are like $575 and it only takes an hour or so.

Friend of mine did it and it looked great, she just had a little tooth sensitivity the day she had it done.

Re: Teeth Whitening/ Bleaching?

A lot of people like the white strips it seems, they never worked for me or my mom. She ended up having brite smile about 2 years ago and paid $525 at their manhattan facility. I got custom trays for free from my dentist but my teeth look a little spotty the second time I used it. I'll stick it out but if it doesn't work. I'll pay the $400 to have zoom.

How many days did you use the trays? And how long were they in for

I'm still using them. I leave them in for about an hour each time. I've only used them two days so far.

Re: Teeth Whitening/ Bleaching?

i would try the white strips before you go to a dentist... i used them for my wedding, and i felt like they worked REALLY well... to me, they are definitely worth a shot before you go to a pro.... good luck!

Re: Teeth Whitening/ Bleaching?

Crest white strips. I after 3 days of use I had so many compliments. They are not that expensive when you compare it to $1,000 for whitening.

Re: Teeth Whitening/ Bleaching?

If you want to save some money........... I heard that the dental school at Stoneybrook University has students who will whiten your teeth and a very low price. My dentist is doing mine and it is about $600.00 with a cleaning and take home trays.
