Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

We're going to Sandals Grande Oct 9-19th. EVERYONE has recommended the Grande. Plus, you can still use the other 2 resorts, so it's basically where do you want to sleep?!

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

I am going to sandals jamaica montego bay. It looks amazing and we have access to 3 other sandals resorts. My friends went to Jamaica and for their anniversary did St. Lucia and they didn't care for it that much they liked Jamaica better. I hear the Sandals bahamas is really awesome. Do you only want to stick with Sandals?

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

I am strongly leaning toward sandals, I have been to Montego Bay and my sis and her husband were there twice. It really is great...That is why we want to go to another sandals. you can't beat the service and it was just a great vacation. completely stress free (exactly what we'll need for hm)

what did they not like about st lucia??

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

Everyone, including my travel agent, has told me that the Regency has more luxurious rooms.

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

Well one of the major things they didn't like was getting to the resort. The airport is far. They said the food was okay, liked jamaica better. They just said overall with comparison to jamaica they liked it better. They are coming back with us in Feb.

I just want to let you know of another place which was amazing. It is in Riviera Maya Mexico. Me and my FH went in March and we had the best time. We sent 2 diff friends there on their honeymoon and they loved it. wish I saved this place for my honeymoon. If you like Sandals you will love this place. It is called Secrets Excellence. I have attached the link.

This is an all inclusive. The service and food was better than Sandals. The resort is just gorgeous. I would like to go back. These resorts are amazing. They cater to your every need. Let me know if you want more info.

don't want to bust anyones bubble but... I work in a travel agency and between that and my friends that have gone on recent honeymoons to Sandals, St. Lucia... all I have heard is bad things!!!! Mold in the showers and bathrooms.. no a/c in the rooms.. hard to get reservations at restaurants, expected ocean view room and got nothing but trees infront of theor windows. Sorry but I thought you guys should know that.

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

We have booked Sandals regency St. Lucia for our 7 night honeymoon. I've been to 4 sandals resorts and 1 beaches resort and I've loved them all, with Antigua being at the top of my list. the service has always been great and the views have always been awesome! I guess it depends on what travel agency you use and how well they know the resort and its ammenities.

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

As for the comment about the airport being far. Dont worry, if you fly JFK through Puerto rico, you can fly in through the airport that is 15 minutes away.

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

The Grande!! Although I think the Regency is more luxurious--it's really huge and I've heard it's hard to get around. The food is not the best you'll ever have but it was still good!

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

We stayed at the Grande and went back 2 years later. We loved it. Since, we've been to Royal Plantation, Royal Bahamian, Halcyon, and visited a few others in Jamaica. The rooms were always clean and the suites were very luxurious.

St. Lucia is one of my most favorite places on earth.

We loved it.

Re: CALLING ALL SANDALS (ST.LUCIA) REVIEWS

Hi,
WE didn't go to Sandals for our HM but have been to Halcyon twice (Dec '05 and March '03) and loved it! You can definitely go to all 3 so you can't really go wrong... IMO Halcyon has the most beautiful grounds and friendliest staff. The Grande has the best water sports since the ocean is more protected. The golf resort is huge so be prepared to do a lot of walking or take the shuttle around the property. St lucia is gorgeous- have an amazing time!
