Should I have RSVP cards for Engagement Party Invitations
Hello, ladies I am new to the forum and I am very become part of the family
. I have an engagement party question. We are having ours in a hall on long island, it will be fully catered (buffet style), we are inviting about 75-100+ people and I was wondering if it was necessary for me to include RSVP cards along with the invitations. I was thinking since it won't be very formal and we are not paying a per head price for the catering that I really could save on the return postage and not do RSVP cards or are they necessary? What do you ladies think? If you had or are having an engagement party what did/will you do?

Re: Should I have RSVP cards for Engagement Party Invitations
We did not send out RSVP cards. On the invitations we put our phone number on it and said RSVP by this date. Our Engagement party is next month and so far a lot of people has called and it is working good.

No you do not need RSVP cards...we are planning on putting a phone # and having regrets only....hopefully that will cut down on the amount of people calling

Great, thanks ladies I think I will do the phone thing. More questions. . . What date did you have your guests RSVP by? In other words my enagagment party is August 26. When should I send out the invites and when should I have my guests RSVP by? TIA

Re: Should I have RSVP cards for Engagement Party Invitations
We decided to use response cards just b/c my job is hectic and it would be easier for me to keep track of who's coming and who's not. Our party is May 5th and I am having people RSVP by April 12.....

It's not necessary but our e-party was so formal that we did have RSVP cards. People actually thought they were our wedding invites.Welcome New Vendors
