Repost from '06 -- A bachelorette party for a married 'bride'?

My best friend decided to get married in Vegas last May. I only found out a couple of days beforehand. Her sister and I threw her a bachelorette party at the last minute but it was just four of us that went out.

Now, she's planning big church wedding and reception for July.

We are throwing her a shower since she never had one, but do you think we should throw her another bachelorette party since she's married already?

What would you do?

i say go for it... even already married i am sure she could use a night with the girls to destress from the planning but if it seems akward maybe you can have more of a girls night than a bachelorette party( maybe a spa day or movie night sleepover...or DJ Chef looks pretty cool)...also find out if her husbands friends are throwing him a bachelor party of sorts that might help to decide

My friend did the same exact thing. She eloped in Maui and had a huge wedding a year later and as one of her bridesmaids we did all of the traditional things. We did have a bach party (no stripper) but went to dinner and to a club. It was fun. I had each girl make a Me and the bride friend page and then presented that book to her.
