Diamond District

FH and I are about to go pick our Wedding Bands. I found an eternity band that I fell in love with at Fortunoff's for $2500...more than I wanted to spend. Everyone keeps telling me to go to the Diamond District, however, I don't have any experience dealing with the vendors there. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to go in the DD?

Thanks!
Colleen

Re: Diamond District

My e-ring and both of our wedding rings came from Haniken Jewelers. It is 66 W.47th - the building is called Futurama. The booth is towards the back. The woman we worked with is Emily. And they are open on Saturdays until 5pm.

Re: Diamond District

My FH bought my engagement ring from Fortunoffs but he said he went to the diamond district as well but he felt better buying it at Fortunoffs because he knew if there was a problem with it they would be there to back it up. I think we are going there for our bands as well.

Re: Diamond District

My engagement ring, wedding band, and DH's wedding band all came from Pico Jewelers at 66 West 47th St. New York, NY 10036 212.921.8935

We had nothing but good experiences with them. We worked with Joe.

Re: Diamond District

Can someone explain to me their experience at the diamond district? Can you haggle with the price? What if something goes wrong with your ring... can you bring it back to them to fix? Are they open on weekends?
