Looking for places to buy wedding bands....

So, we are just about 4 months shy of walking down the aisle and we have yet to even think about going to buy our wedding bands. I know what I want and my FH is looking for a simple platinum band. My engagement ring is a family heirloom (it was my FH's grandmothers), so we didn't spend any money on that, so I am being selfish and wanting a band with diamonds on it, as opposed to a plain one. But we don't want to spend a fortune and don't really have a family jeweler we can trust. I am looking for places in Nassau County preferably. Tiffany's would be nice, but I don't think it's in our budget... Does anyone know about Gross Jewelers in Garden City, or even Fortunoff's? If you post a suggestion, let me know their general location. I would like to start looing into the rings soom!!

We bought ours at Fortunoff

We both got platinum bands, they had a good selection. They do have many diamond bands as well. We checked out Tiffany in Manhasset, but we were not impressed. Also went to the Karat Shop, its kind of a wholesaler. It is located off Old Country Road in Westbury - we tried on a lot here. They also have a good selection, including many diamond bands.

Fortunoff gives you a discount if you registered there!

My brother works there, so I'm biased - but all my jewelry is from Fortunoff, including my engagement ring. They have nice stuff - we are getting our bands there. We already picked them out, except that I need to custom mine, because I want princess stones not round! :-)

Looking for places to buy wedding bands....

I got my engagement ring at Fortunoff too, and am very happy with it. We looked at wedding bands too, and will probably get ours there.

Looking for places to buy wedding bands....

My Fiance got my engagement ring from Gross in Garden City. I think it is HL Gross Brothers. We haven't looked at bands yet but we will probably go there.

Looking for places to buy wedding bands....

We are less than four months away as well. I bought his at fortunoff - simple platinum band. We went to Roosevelt field last weekend and shopped around for mine. I wanted diamonds too. All the jewelry stores there are having sales. We choose one at Cambridge jewelers. Its beautiful! Good Luck!

thank you all so much for the suggestions...

I think we'll be checking out Fortunoff's pretty soon as a starting place. Anyone know of Bailey, Banks and Biddle? Are they worth looking into?

Looking for places to buy wedding bands...SALES.

I think I read that seeing 'sales' for diamonds is not a good thing. I read that if someone says they have a sale for diamonds, that means the hike up the prices, and you are getting ripped off. That is why at a place like Fortunoff, you never see sales (according to the person who sold us my engagement ring).

Bailey Banks & Biddle are overpriced!

Try TriCounty Flea Market on Hempstead Turnpike. Lots of Jewelry dealers under one roof (upstairs)

Bailey Banks & Biddle are overpriced!

We also looked in Bailey Banks & Biddle in Roosevelt Field and felt they were WAY overpriced for what they were offering especially with diamond bands.
