Getting to work tomorrow
How horrible do you think it's going to be commuting into the city? I live in Rockland and I take a slow diesel train into Hoboken and then the PATH over. Everything is such a mess now, 4 LIRR trains are stalled (with people in them) that I know it won't be great tomorrow morning (better than today I'm sure though).I really want to work from home but, I just started working for a boss who's anti work from home and I was out on Thurs and Fri at a conference. I do have some stuff though I can do here!

I think that's what I wanted to hear! I'm thinking I'll work from home, I want to save my vacation days for wedding stuff.

I live in Hoboken and will be walking the half mile to the PATH and schlepping in. I wish the PATH ran above ground so I could stay home

The PATH wasn't running too great today.
I miss living in Hoboken, I was there for 7 years and moved at the end of January.
ETA Last week was my first set of 12 hr days this year and since I have moved. It was quite the shock, as is getting up to catch a 6:37 train!

I hope it's running ok tomorrow-- I have to go to work- I have no choice, no matter how long it takes me.
We just moved here at the end of September-- was living in the city for 8 years before here... It's not a total change-- but enough of a change. And now we get to have a car-- thank god in a garage-- no shoveling needed!

Well, I'm definitely required to go in tomorrow. Do I want to go? Nooooooooo! But I have no choice. Stinky subway it'll be.

Re: Getting to work tomorrow
I actually made it in, the train is a diesel train so it doesn't have a lot of the problems that the electric trains have (third rail, overhead power lines). We were only 10 minutes late (and the train only came 2 minutes late which is more important). I only slipped 2 times on the way to the train too (that was the worst part!!!)We can work from home if need be in certain circumstances but, my new boss isn't on the telecommuting bandwagon.

LIRR wasn't going to Penn Station this morning so I am working from home! Wish I was a teacher and had the day off - jealous of all the teachers today
