St. Lucia honeymooners
Do you need a passport to go there? Fiance and I only have birth certificates and driver's licenses.

I was told that since it's not a US territory (like the US Virgin Islands) you will need to have a passport. But you should move fast so that you have it in time to leave.

as of jan '06 you need a passport to go anywhere outside us (includes the islands now)
they say it takes 8 weeks but we had them in two

Yes, you def. do. They say to apply far in advance just in case. The prices have gone up, I think they're 65 or 75. It's cheaper to go thru the post office , I heard.

It looks like they pushed the requirement back, although passports were supposed to be required Jan. 2006.

when we went, we used our birth certificates and drivers licenses because we didn't have passports
