Invitation Envelope Question

We need approximately 200 invitations and I'm planning on printing the envelopes myself on our computer (I've been working on the STD's right now and they are going pretty well).

How many extra envelopes should I order? I was thinking 25 of each (inner and outer) but, should I order more?

For my STD's, every now and then one would print funny and have to be redone.

I'm not planning on ordering them yet but, I got my final guest list from my FMIL today and I started thinking about it too much so I figured I'd ask now!

TIA!

Re: Invitation Envelope Question

The extras usually come in bunches of 25. If you were to order more than that you might have to get 50! If that's the case, I would stick with the 25. If you can order a different quantity, then I would base it on how many STD's you had to do over.

Re: Invitation Envelope Question

I recalculated. We're going to need like 201 invites (I divided our guest list in half originally but, there are some people on it as singles, older relatives, etc).

So I'm now getting 225 invitations (w/envelopes) and sending out just over 200 of them. Would you order an extra 25 envelopes on top of that, both inner and outer?

Re: Invitation Envelope Question

We made 100 invitations, but I ordered 150 envelopes. I know 125 would've been fine, but I didn't want to take the risk.

Thanks! I was thinking of doing that, I'd rather be safe then have to order envelopes after the fact!

Re: Invitation Envelope Question

honestly, to order extra envelopes is only a few extra bucks... at least it was where we ordered from... i think it is worth it to get the extra 50 instead of just 25...

i printed everything myself too... and the extras really came in handy!!
