Sending Invites and RSVP date

I am getting married July 1. I sent out Save The Dates months ago to everyone invited. There are a lot of OOTers. I put an RSVP date of June 1 on the request, but the order doesn't go in until Wednesday after I proof it. Now I am thinking that it isn't enough time.

So......
When should I send the invite out?
When should the RSVP date be?

well you are getting married 2 weeks before me...

I am sending them out the last week of April and the RSVP is June 4th....6 weeks before. I just wanted to allow time for chasing RSVPs

i am sending out my invites tomorrow and my rsvp date is april 10 (6 weeks b4 the wedding)

I am just about your date twin (7/2), I am going to send out invites the third week in april - actually the day after Easter. I figure it is a holiday weekend, so we should give guests advance notice. And, my RSVP date is 6/2, 1 month from the wedding.

I would definitely make your RSVP date 6 weeks before the wedding and send out the invites 6 weeks before that.

I have alot of OOT guests also. FH's entire family lives in Mississippi. Our wedding date is april 15th but the hall needs a count by the 1st. This is my timeline....

Feb. 3rd...OOT invites mailed
Feb. 4-5....Local invites hand delivered
March 15th...Rsvp date (this gives an additional 2 weeks for late RSVP's to come in)
April 1st....Final count to Hall

i'm getting marry the same day - 7/1.

3/4 - order invites
4/1 - invites mail out
5/20 - rvsp date
5/27 - call people that did not reply on time and get final count.
6/3 - one more week for rest of rsvp to come in and order favors.

trying not to leave much things for june cuz it'll pass by real quick since our wedding is the first of July. my guest list is over 500 so i'm trying not to leave things to the last minutes, especially favors. may take longer than since i'm ordering probably around 400.

Isn't 3 months too long? I really do not think that it is necessary to send out invites in the beginning of April. IMHO..

a bit but the rsvp date is almost end of may. they have a 1.5 month to reply. from end of may to june is only one month. july doesn't even count.

I just mailed my invites saturday (Feb 25) for my wedding which is 4/30/06. My rsvp date is april 14, 2006, 2 weeks before my wedding date which was recommended.

I bought Lindt truffles as favors...so I can just buy more if need be
