High School and College Reunions

Have you been to any yet? What was your experience like? Were you happy that you went?

Just curious since I have those coming up in the next couple of years.

I went to my 5 year college reunion and my 10 year high school reunion.
i had a great time at both - but i only went becuase friends that i've kept in touch with through the years were also going, so it was more of a chance to hang out with them, than to reconnect with old friends.
it's interesting to see how much some people change, and how little other people change!

Actually my High School reunion was this past Saturday, but I didn't go. My hubby didn't want to go, I kinda did. We went to the same High School.

My 10 year is this year and I don't have any interest in going. I see only one of my friends from high school regularly and that's fine with me.

I was very undecided about my 10 year HS reunion a few years ago - in fact I think I made the decision the night before. But I was surprised how really glad I was that I went. I hated HS but there were some people who I was truly glad to see again.

I went to my college 10 year last year and it was great! There were quite a few people who I keep in touch with (just xmas cards though some) so it was great to get to spend time just hanging out and being silly again!! I do miss college a lot sometimes!

Didnt go to my 10 year, and wont go to my 20 year, 30 year, 40 year, etc. None of us wanted to go anyway..........

Have no desire to see the people I went to HS with other than my friends.

However, if it was an elementary or JHS reunion, well thats a whole different story........I'd love to see all those people again.......

I didn't go to my HS reunuion and few months ago. I don't really regret it. It was really expensive and the people organizing it were people I really didn't like..most of my friends didn't go either.

I went to my 5 year college and had a great time. Most of my best friends are from college, so it was like old times again. My 10 year high school is this summer, and I don't think I am going to go. I didn't keep in touch with/ever like many people from high school.

My 10 year was a few years ago, and I had no desire to attend and see the people I went to HS with.

My 10 year HS reunion will be this year... I kind of want to go. I was friendly with a lot of people in HS that I haven't spoken to since. If its expensive I probably won't go though. I know FH doesn't want to go to his.

My ten year HS reunion is also coming up this summer we will see if I'm gonna go or not!!

I went to my 5 year college & 10 year HS. THey were both very different.
My college's is an all day family freidnly thing kinda like home coming & they combine classes from every 5 years, So class or 98, 93, 88, etc were all there. So I went with a group of college friends I stay in touch with & we I saw some people I knew but wasn't close with--it was fun.

I don't keep in touch with anyone from HS, so DH & I went & it was fun--everyone is a lot nicer now!

I went to my 10yr HS and had a great time.

My 20th is in May and I *was* looking forward to it but have been on our alumni yahoo board and people are on my last nerve!!

It's also being held in a swanky locale in NYC and is $86/pp with open bar (I can't drink THAT much anymore) and dessert (???) - no apps!!!

My 10 year HS reunion wont be until 2009....but I already am looking forward to going!
I cannot wait to see people who made my 4 years of high school such a pleasure

10 year high school reunion was last November. honestly, after the initial - where do you live? What do you do? questions, it was very boring and not much to talk about!
