BM PROBLEMS!!

BM PROBLEMS!!

Oh my God!!!!! My cousin was going to be my bridesmaid. Since we were such good friends when I got engaged, naturally she was going to be a part of my wedding. After WE (my mom and I) paid her deposit for the dress and bought her shoes, she informs me today (44 days before my wedding) that she isn't going to be in it.

So, by the grace of God, one of my good friends can fit into the dress and is going to wear it. I actually am so excited that she's going to be a part of my wedding day. My cousin and I have drifted apart due to some decisions that she's made in the last few months. I'm kinda glad that this happened. Is that wrong?

If you are relieved and shes not upset, then heck, its fine.
Why did you drift apart if youw ere so close?

I went through rehab about a year and a half ago and I've been clean and sober ever since. She was one of my closest friends, so I thought that since she saw what I went through, she would be smart. Not so much... she started using and then started bringing it around me... I had to put a stop to it. I made her mad and she moved out of town. (Not because of me, but because of other things.) So, we just kinda didn't talk much.

Sorry about your cousin, but you are lucky to have an understanding friend : )

JMO, very rude of your cousin. why is she dropping out? is she goign to attend your wedding?

We're not sure. She no longer has a car. IE No way to get to the wedding. But, she knows we would come get her. I think that she's too busy running around with her crowd of people that she's just planning not to come.

to you for going through that, I know how hard it can be in rehab. Stay strong and know that you did the right thing
